There are few better places to experience yoga
than on our lanai, with the oceanview, warm breezes and peaceful
setting. Whether you're a first-timer or an experienced practitioner,
Suzanne can help you recover from jet lag and settle into the
Hawaiian pace.
Classes combine Hatha yoga, vinyasa (flow), pranayama (breathing)
and relaxation through meditation. She offers a 60-minute Intro
to Yoga class for beginners, or can tailor a full 90-minute class
to your desires. She is also available for private sessions in
South Kona by appointment and teaches public classes in several
different locations (email for schedule).
Suzanne is a Registered Yoga Teacher through the Yoga
Alliance. She received her certification through Bob
Smith and Ki McGraw
while on the beautiful island of Bali. She came to yoga as a means
of recovering from chronic back pain left by two decades of organized
sports (including a stint on the women's US National water polo
team). Now pain free, she is a convert to the healing capabilities
of a gentle Hatha yoga practice.
Yoga means "to yoke" or "to unite" the body,
mind, and spirit. Yoga on the Big Island will help you break free
from the busy lifestyle you left behind, and allow you to relax
into the aloha.
